A breakthrough in architectural metal protection, PPG CORAFLON® Platinum powder is a premium architectural-grade coating that meets or exceeds rigorous FGIA/AAMA 2605 performance specifications for exceptional weathering performance. This product supplies CORAFLON Platinum in Anodized Black. It is engineered for curtain walls, storefronts, architectural extrusions, plate and brake metal and other monumental applications that require the industry's highest level of protection. This best-in-class solution is backed by more than 10 years of test data in Florida and delivers a transfer efficiency rate 20% higher than other powders in its class. Compared with other hyper-durable products, CORAFLON Platinum exhibited twenty times the color retention of competing products, with only a 6% loss in color retention over a five-year period. A one-coat fluoropolymer available in a wide range of colors, glosses, micas and metallics — including popular anodized metal finishes — it offers a broader gloss range than standard competing powders (5-85 vs. 25-70), improved corrosion performance on aluminum in a single coat and 70% less oven smoke and build-up. It is formulated without TGIC, PFOA, fluorosurfactants, VOCs, HAPs and Living Building Challenge Red List substances, and is REACH compliant with respect to Substances of Very High Concern.
